Charity Pie brings good cheer to the Roger Smith Hotel for Thanksgiving.
Baking into the night Anita Sharp of Electric Blue Baking Company led a team of Roger Smith personalities in our quest to make Charity Pies. Built from Scratch and made with a vegan twist we put our energy into making 26 delicious pies.
Proceeds from the Charity Pie event at the Roger Smith Hotel will go to the New York City Food Bank. Every dollar that is donated will be matched by Fedex, which will allow for many New Yorkers in need to be fed.

When asked who his mustache role-model is, Jeremy with confidence stated “Ron Burgundy!” And why not. His sense of style and charisma is a perfect aspiration when trying to sculpt and model your Movember Mustache.
If you are not familiar with Movember, for the month of November, gentlemen from across the world have come together to raise money for testicular cancer research, and the live strong foundation through the sponsorship of their upper lip. I have personally donated to Jeremy Thompson’s Mustache and applaud him for his courageous dedication to the cause. I must also give props to my sister Allie who has lived with it for the last month.
If you have not yet donated, please take a second to support Jeremy Thompson’s Mustache.

Distant Voices Poetry Lunch @RShotel, Brought to you by Stanza, Live Broadcasted from around the world.
Live from the Roger Smith Hotel we contributed our efforts to the Distant Voices poetry initiative by hosting a poetry lunch for those who were interested in engaging in this global virtual poetry reading.
This would not have come together with such without the help and drive of Alice White and Brian Johnston who fostered the idea to a reality. The event was hosted in St. Andrews and broadcasted around the world. It was a truely unique event. We celebrate the art of spoken word through poetry and look to engage with those who will explore cultural experience and adventure with us.
